Competition Guidelines:

The Miss African Queen competition will take place as part of the launch of the book, 'Twenty African Queens Every Young Girl Should Know About'. 

​

Interested contestants are to select a queen from the book highlighted in the video above. They will dress up as the queen of their choice, answer questions about her and answer questions about how they define the theme for 'Black History Month 'Reclaiming Narratives', from the point of view of their Queen.

​

1. There is a registration fee of £25 for all participants which must be paid before they can receive a link to register. This fee is non-refundable .

​

2. The winner of the crown of African Queen UK will receive a prize of £1000.

​

The Special Guest and Chief Judge of the event will be the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Her Excellency, Madam Fatima Maada Bio.
